These #12 Metal to Wood Screws will work for most mechanically fastened applications when screwing into a wood purlin, frame or truss. A type 17 tip should allow you to go through the metal panel smoothly.
With a 3/8" Hex Washer Head, when the screw is used in conjunction with our SB-190 silicon adhesive, it will provide a good seal to keep water out from under the guard.
When calculating the quantity needed, we recommend a minimum of 4 per guard using the outside 4 holes in the guards.

These Carbon Steel Screws are Long Life Coated with Dyna-Coat, which passed a 1000 hour salt spray chamber test. Test results available upon request. This is far superior to straight steel/zinc fasteners which normally test in the 350-500 hour range.
Dyna-Coat is a premium organic polymer coating. It is designed to provide optimum corrosion resistance for metal fasteners. Fasteners that are coated with Dyna-Coat exhibit excellent resistance to marring, chipping and abrasion. The color of the coated fastener is mill finish.
